6 of Cups

This week’s Tarot-Draw is the Six of Cups.

When is the last time you did something nice without taking credit?

By not taking credit did that make it more than simple charity, or sew seeds of better karma?

Before sessions I say a little prayer/sankalpa “May the best Yoga flow to me and thru me. May it be of help to them.”

But since I just brought attention to it does it no longer count as a selfless act?

I can take credit for it but it’s really just the Yoga and the Moment moving through me.

Best not to nullify your efforts with silly little ego traps.

Let your acts flow in the certainty of synchronicity.

Desiring to be more than just six cups they have engorged themselves and assumed the role of vase.

A thing in which other things may grow.

Ready to be perched on a marble plinth and admired.

Like flowers we grow into the containers in which we have been placed.

Don’t judge the flower for how it grew. Don’t judge yourself either.

At least we, unlike most of our plant friends, can uproot ourselves for a quick geographical fix.

(Hey, they do work sometimes. At least until we catch up to ourselves.)

Doomed to the loops of look at me don’t look at me, until someone truly sees me.

I no longer wonder if trauma has shaped a lifelong quest to reclaim that lost childhood.

I like to call it my Peter Pan Syndrome.

And instead of seeing a vendor offering attention, perhaps we can see another Peter Pan and Wendy moment as metaphor for sparking awareness in each other.

The sceptic in me says proceed with caution and the woo-woo romantic in me has already turned it into a magical meet-cute.

Either way those flower arrangements are gonna sell quick. Real quick.

This week in Psychic Sleep we’ll touch on themes of: flowers; fruiting karmas; and Neverland romances.
