Knight of Swords
This week’s Tarot-Draw is the Knight of Swords.
The winds of change are blowing.
Here comes the cavalry!!!!
Here comes the MFing cavalry!
‘Bout time. Morale’s been low…
Have you noticed that swords as a suit is more on the sad-grump side emotionally speaking?
I used to say swords were fights in various forms.
Now I see swords as words, which makes them even more dangerous.
I forget how powerful the wind is.
The element of Air often presents itself as a gentle breeze or the soft sweet air we breath.
But, a tornado leaves death and destruction in its wake.
If air gets cold enough it hurts both inside and outside.
If air gets hot enough it can fry your ass as well as your supper.
Speaking from an ice cold heart often hurts the listener whether one intends to or not.
Speaking from an open caring heart brings with it the feeling of vulnerability on behalf of the speaker.
Choosing words wisely is a skill.
That implies practice, and change.
Words get to places other things can’t reach just like the air does.
They can be used for damage and for healing.
Unfortunately sometimes you gotta put a motherfucker in their place.
Isn’t that why everyone runs to the comments section?
That particular dopamine trigger is pushed way too often these days and I find myself becoming numb to it even if vicariously seeking it out.
But, why does it feel so good to righteously go off on someone?
Unless being angry makes us feel good somehow…
Channel the anger.
Use it.
Change it to exertion, exhaust it from the body.
Allow it to flow through the body like a breeze through the trees.
You may find yourself rushing to a friend’s aid or mad on someone’s behalf.
Just don’t lose yourself to it.
Taking it out on someone/something that deserves it before it spills out onto someone that doesn’t is a functional take but, isn’t there a way to blow off steam without participating in making anyone else feel bad?
No? Then let loose with intent and clarity dealing with the emotional backlash as it comes to whatever degree..
This week in Psychic Sleep we’ll touch on themes of: power words; sparring partners; and which way the winds blow.
