XII The Hanged Man

This week’s Tarot-Draw is the 12th major arcana The Hanged Man.

What would you willingly sacrifice to gain a specific piece of knowledge?

What’s the price of a secret? Market-price?

Can a secret be worth more than a mystery?

Depends on what you do with it, no?

But a good mystery is so satisfying, satiating even.

Figuring things out can feel ecstatic.

How’s your relationship with the words “I don’t know.”?

I sometimes wonder if my tendency to overcomplicate things is rooted in making things harder to earn so I get a bigger dopamine payload.

Or, is it just an echo of my parents when I say “I haven’t earned it yet…”.?

It’s so interesting how suffering is linked to worth in this regard.

This is a quintessential Ordeal Trial - going thru turmoil and strife to “earn”/be granted access to hidden knowledge.

What knowledge do you feel that you’ve explicitly earned?

This week in Psychic Sleep we’ll touch on themes of: sacrifice; the earning mentality; and mystery.
